2 x 5mm Quick Fit Gearbox Spacer
2 x 12mm Quick Fit Engine Spacer
With both spacers fitted, the lowest part of the oil sump is raised above the anti-roll bar and therefore protected from the ground. This lifting kit is especially beneficial for lowered vehicles not only to give the powertrain more ground clearance, but by also reducing the stress on suspension components and driveshaft’s. By lifting the engine and gearbox, the angle between the wheel hub and the gearbox experienced by the drive shafts/CV joints is decreased, bringing the angle closer to factory spec reducing premature wear.
STRAIGHT FORWARD FITTING:
The central cut-out means that the engine can stay located on its mounts without having to be completely removed, while the rounded edges promote an easy locating procedure.
- All engine/gearbox mounts are required to first be loosened (not removed) before the engine/gearbox can be raised from underneath with a jack (given that the force is evenly distributed) or lifted with an engine hoist.
- Simply slide in the spacers underneath the original fluid filled mounts.
- The 5mm spacers locate on the gearbox mounts, while the 12mm spacers locate on the engine mounts.
- The engine/gearbox can then be lowered before the mounts are re-torqued to spec.
