Measuring for Studded Wheel Spacers/Adapters

When buying studded wheel spacers/adapters, there are a few things to consider.

You will need to check whether your studs will interfere with the flush fitting of the spacers/adapters and whether you will need to modify/cut the studs on your vehicle. To do so, firstly measure how much stud protrudes from your hub. You then need to check whether the wheels you are fitting have recesses (pockets) in the back deep enough to accept the remaining stud.

For example, you want to fit 20mm spacers. Your studs protrude 25mm, and your wheels have recesses of 7mm in the back. This means you won't need to modify the studs.

However, if the wheels did not have recesses in the back, you would need to cut the studs down by approx. 6mm.

If your wheels do not have recesses in the back, and you do not want to shorten the studs, you may wish to consider buying wider spacers/adapters.
